Boots Barkley's Ideal Home:	Would do well with someone home a lot and better if there is another dog. No young children, but careful children would be fine. He can be protective when you reach for him suddenly, but once he knows you and you know him, there`s no problem.
Boots Barkley's Favorite Things:	Playing catch Walks twice a day.
Making Friends with Boots Barkley:	Barkley does fairly well when meeting new people. He met a non-pet person in foster mom`s home and leaped into her lap shortly after. Likes his lap time, always cuddles on couch BUT it has to be on his terms. He can NOT just be picked up. Loves playing tug and chase with other dogs and can also catch. Would like another doggie to play with. Once he knows you and trusts you, he is so easy going. He is a real sweetie and such a great dog He is doing great in obedience classes now and is learning not to be over protective. He is a smart dog and very trainable. Barkley had a heart valve stent put in May 2013 and is doing well. He needs heart meds 2x day for life, but he is strong right now and happy and playing again.
Current Health:	Chronic heart condition, currently controlled on medications.
Medicines Needed:	Monthly prevention meds for his heart Enalapril 2x/day Atenolol 2x/day. Chlorhexidine shampoo/Chlorhexadone Flush every other day for skin irritation
